Lurie is a dynamic husband-and-wife team specialising in the design of beautiful, comfortable, and healthy homes, based in the stunning Margaret River region of Western Australia. Combining our individual strengths we offer a holistic approach that considers both the details and your grand vision, with sustainability principles at the core.
With over 25 years of experience in the building design and construction industries, our founder, Michael Lurie, brings his passion and broad expertise to every project. His insight and deep understanding of best practices, acquired through personal projects, collaborations, and his initiative, are ingrained in our design and documentation methodology.
Complementing Michael’s technical expertise, Susan Lurie holds a Master of Architecture and brings a keen focus on conceptual design. With a wealth of industry knowledge gained from years spent in residential design, planning, and administration, Susan’s systematic approach to problem-solving and dedication to clients’ visions enrich our collaborative process.
Together we are proud to design enduring homes that are connected to people and place, and adapt to the changing needs of our clients and climate. Our homes always serve function while allowing space for play and pause. We are advocates for the use sustainable materials and technologies, and always strive to achieve more with less.
From the initial concept to the final working drawing, our collaborative efforts culminate in creating spaces that foster inspiration, connection, and sanctuary, all while reducing our impact on the places we inhabit.
